Presentation Guidelines

Your Biome Vacation Package presentation must include the following:

• The name of your Biome
• A picture of your Biome
• Topography of your Biome
• A map of the world highlighting the area where your biome exists (include how much of the Earth's land surface)
• A Diagram of a food web using a native community with a minimum of 10 species. You must describe the niche of each organism in the food web. (Make sure to include autotrophs and heterotrophs)
• A Description of the biome that includes the climate (include seasonal weather patterns), and vegetation. Include a graph of annual precipitation and a graph of average annual temperatures (in Celcius).
• At least 2 major types of plants found in your biome and a brief explanation of their adaptations that make them able to survive well in your biome along with a picture of one or both.
• At least 2 major types of animals found in your biome and a brief explanation of their adaptations that make them able to survive well in your biome alone with a picture of one or both.
• Human impacts affecting your Biome and the level of devastation (i.e. global warming, deforestation).
• Works cited list of at least 4 sources used to find your information.

***REMEMBER: You are presenting this information as a travel agent representing the Huntingtown Ecotourism Company. In addition to the information about your Biome above, you are responsible for making travel arrangements. Suggested information includes, but is not limited to:

• transportation carrier
• length of the trip
• cost of the trip (either broken down by tickets, lodging, meals, etc., or the price of the package)
• any tours that may be available: camping trips, safari rides, or scuba diving. (include prices)
• suggested clothing
• cuisine that may be unique to your area
